Hey there.I hope you've had a great week.

What I've made for you

Book Notes: Lessons in Stoicism by John SellarsFantastic book. It is a very short and approachable introduction to Stoicism.

Obsidian Movie & TV Show note-making-script

I collaborated with Kepano, maker of the Obsidian Minimal theme, in creating a script which lets you easily create new notes for movies and TV shows in your Obsidian vault.

This means you can click a few buttons and have a whole note filled with metadata about the movie/series.

If you want just the script, you can find it here. It works through my Obsidian plugin, QuickAdd.

However, I'd certainly recommend that you also take a look at Kepano's Minimal theme, which just had its v4.4.0 release featuring Cards.

Now this is a beautiful movie gallery in Obsidian:

You can find the theme in the Obsidian community theme browser.

What I'm Reading

I'm a huge fan of Morgan Housel's writing. If you're following me on Matter, you might know that I posted one of his articles this past week. I want to highlight that one—and another one—here, as I think you'd find them enjoyable to read.

Harder Than It Looks, Not As Fun as It Seems. We don't see the struggle others go through to become great at something, but we see our own. This can lead to us believing that we're missing something.

Does Not Compute. Some things just don't compute — they don't make 'logical sense'. But they happen anyway.

Of course, Morgan also wrote the best book I've read on money: The Psychology of Money. Click the link to read my notes on it.

The struggle towards the heights is itself enough to fill a man’s heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.

To your success. Regards,
