Hey there.

I hope you've had a great week.

What I've made for you

Book NotesWill by Will SmithThis is a great biography. I especially loved the audiobooks. It's a well-told story.

Voluntary adversity

I've been struggling with what to call this:

  • Voluntary adversity

  • Progressive overload for the soul

Or the simple: doing something difficult every day,

It's a practice I've been focusing on lately. To challenge myself to do something uncomfortable every day.

So every morning, when I plan my day, I've started asking myself:

How are you challenging yourself to grow today?

This question has helped me focus and be more intentional.Creating such focusing questions can greatly improve your effectiveness. They help ensure you're working on the right things.

I heard something about asking questions recently that really resonated:

The quality of your life is measured by the quality of your questions.

What's the next step you can take to grow?

Tiny thought

You don't learn and then venture. You venture and learn.

Quote

One of Lee’s students once asked him, “Master, you constantly speak to us of peace, yet every day you train us to fight. How do you reconcile these conflicting ideas?” And Bruce Lee responded, “It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.”
