Sunday Goodies: July 18, 2021 — favorite podcasts, an announcement, and book notes
Hey there.I hope you've had a great week.
What I've Made For You
The Death of Ivan IlychThis is a short and hard-to-put-down book.It is a classic. A reminder that we will all die some day. It is like having Ivan's life flashing before your eyes, slowing down upon the moments of his death.
Favorite podcasts
I am commuting much more now than I used to, and have been listening to a lot of podcasts. It can be hard to find good podcasts, so I thought I'd list some of my favorite episodes.
If you did not know, I share my favorite resources, tools, and other awesome things I've found on my website. Just click the 'Curated Content' tab after following that link, and you'll see a long list.
Without further ado, here are some of my favorite podcast episodes.
Obsidian
As you may know, I have built many Notion.so systems. I have begun rebuilding many of those in my Obsidian vault. Even better, I have begun creating things that weren't possible in Notion.
I'm very excited to start sharing this with you. The content will be in the form of articles, tweets, and videos. And of course, I'll be giving sneak-peaks here.
I already have published two articles about Obsidian. First, why I use Obsidian, and second, how to take smart book notes in Obsidian.
If you have any suggestions or something you'd like to see, please send me a reply, and we can talk about it!
Quote
Everyone knows that our habits are improved and strengthened through their exercise. In order to be a good walker, you need to walk a lot; in order to be a strong runner, you need to run frequently; in order to be a perceptive reader, you ought to read as much as you can. The same is true of your soul: if you become angry, you must know that you not only perform evil, but you also create an evil habit, and you increase your potential for further evil.

To your success. Regards,
