Hey there.I hope you've had a great week.

Favorite books

A few days ago, I was asked about my top 10 books. This is a hard question to answer for me, so instead, I made a list of which books I'd recommend, based on topic. Here's the list with links to my notes on the book.

The books I've read on stoicism are great:

Both Atomic Habits and Tiny Habits have helped me a lot with developing good habits in my life — something I see as crucialHow to Take Smart Notes has greatly improved how I think about taking in informationThe Almanack of Naval Ravikant, Poor Charlie's Almanack, and Seeking Wisdom has taught me a great deal about thinkingThe Psychology of Money is the best book on money that I've readIndistractable has been a productivity game-changerMindset, Peak, A Mind for Numbers, and Make It Stick has taught me a lot about learning

These are just 17 out of the 170+ books I've read. There are books that I'm not mentioning here that have personal significance, but are not suited for such a general list. While this almost demonstrates the 80/20 rule — that 80% of the value is captured in 20% of the books — I wouldn't ever want to miss out on reading the remaining 80%.

Tiny thought

I shared something I've learned on Twitter this week. I'd like to share it here as well.

One word to a younger me: Detach.

You can control your inputs, not the outcomes.

Relax, do the best you can, and keep learning how to do better.

Enjoy the process.

New tool I've discovered: Centered

It took only one session with Centered for me to get hooked. It's like having a productivity coach sit next to you as you work.

Here's how it works. You put in the tasks you want to get done, and you click “Get Flowing”. Then it helps you get into a flow state, so you can get things done.

It claims to boost user productivity by 30%. I've seen a big increase in my own productivity. It has helped me focus and take more mindful breaks. On top of that, it provides a great dashboard with analytics on your sessions.

I'm in no way affiliated. I'm not getting paid to tell you this. I just think it's a great tool. And here's a bonus. They're giving a free month of premium for Product Hunt users, so you can go to their Product Hunt listing and grab their promotion code for a full month of premium.
